Tennessee Walker, Black/White Tobiano Gelding
Height: 15.1 Hands. Born: 2001
With his gorgeous black and white spots and his trademark deep blue marbled eyes, Phantom is the heart throb for many of the girls who come to the Farm, who immediately fall in love with him and his looks.
Of course there's an old saying amongst horse folks that says "You can't ride pretty and you can't ride color" and that's the truth. How a horse looks on the outside has no reflection of what a horse is like on the inside. Fortunately for us, Phantom has a wonderful personality that reflects his outer beauty.
That said, Phantom isn't without his quirks. He's a bit playful, and likes to nibble on the handler's hands and wrists while we lead him around the arena with kids on his back. Phantom is incredibly smart, and with that comes a sense of boredom, so he has to entertain himself somehow!
Phantom also has the nickname "Bubbles". It's rare, but occasionally when he's hungry and you have treats, he'll slobber to the point of foaming bubbles on his mouth, and on very rare occasions he'll blow out at that time and send a bubble or two floating away. The first time we saw it he earned the nickname, and we've never seen another horse do it!
Phantom shows off his seriously good looks during a summer storm at the Farm.
Phantom, pretty much just like every other horse at the Farm, will NEVER give up a chance to snack on hay before it's served up for the day.
